Learning About the Hospital!

On Tuesday, April 23 our class went on a field trip to the Albert Lea hospital.  We learned about what it's like to be admitted to the hospital.  We also learned about the inside of the human body - the bones and organs.  After our learning time, we were taken around varous parts of the hospital.  We saw an urgent care room, the baby room (and a new baby!), the lab, and the inside of an ambulance.  We even got to see what blood looks like under a microscope.  It was a great learning time for the whole class!
Jose is our pretend patient to be admitted to the hospital.
Cayden and Taylor are his pretend mom and dad.

Our patient, Jose, has his blood pressure taken.

Dr. Brenden will be Jose's surgeon!

We saw what the inside of our body looks like - even the heart!

This a skelleton.  Do you know how many bones we have in our bodies?

Alex looks at blood under a microscope.
Do you know what the little purple platelets do for us?

A paramedic tells us about his ambulance.

Layne gets his EEG taken.  Do you think his heart is beating?

Here is Layne's EEG.  Yes, his heart is beating!
